Black Friday mall shooting details unfold in Fayetteville

Surveillance video of Cross Creek Mall seeks to bring three suspects in for questioning.

On Monday authorities released surveillance video images of three black men, who did not appear to be armed entering the mall at 2:04 a.m. The men are sought for questioning related to the Black Friday shooting near the food court entrance at the Cross Creek Mall.

No one was injured when gunfire rang out around 2 a.m. near the food court entrance, the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office said according to a WRAL news report. More shots were fired inside the mall as the shooters fled into the crowds of post-Thanksgiving shoppers.

While the men are being called suspects, the sheriff's office has not released further details of the extent of their involvement.

Cross Creek Mall's Assistant General Manager, Dina Simcox was not available this afternoon for comments.

According to Debbie Tana, spokeswoman for the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office, witnesses reported seeing a man run inside the mall, followed by a second man.

The suspects in question can be see in the photos and anyone who can identify the men are asked to call detectives at 910-323-1500 and leave an anonymous tip at 910-484-8477.
