Fayetteville Police on Security at Charlotte's DNC
Security details from around the state are helping plus up law enforcement numbers this week.
Inside Charlotte's Convention Center, Fayetteville's police officers are roving the area on security detail.
Volunteering for the duties this week, 20 officers are on assignment at the 2012 DNC, five on bike patrol.
"It's a once in a lifetime thing to do," said Watchman Tim Tew.
Inside the Convention Center are where most of the caucuses take place, the state Delegates gather and the media hold their working area. The area is only accessible with Convention Center credentials.
Brian Gainey, a Staff Duty Officer at the front desk in Fayetteville, primarily works shift work during the week.
"It's a different turn of events keeping us busy this week," said Gainey.
Security inside 'the perimeter' is tightly controlled and streets are even shut down for walkers. Navigating from hotel to hotel for meetings could be tricky and parking is sparse already.
Plan to take advantage of Charlotte's light rail system, The Lynx for easier access.

I wonder if the DNC higher ups will do to their grassroots what the RNC just did?

It is time for all good Americans to wake up to some important political and economic realities. Sadly, too few will even bother to click on this link and read just one article out of fear that they might learn something disturbing. Have we become a nation of people that will deliberately look the other way in the face of clear problems and corruption? No nation can long survive when in times of moral crisis, the people remain ignorant and silent!

Free tickets, free rides and free seats available for the Democratic National Convention so that stadium can "look full" for the cameras. The Obama campaign team can NOT even sell tickets for $3.00 for this event:
