Fort Bragg Honors 5 Fallen at Memorial Service

Soldiers killed in Afghanistan during the month of June were honored on Wednesday.

 

Fort Bragg's 82nd Airborne Division held their monthly memorial to honor five of their paratroopers that lost their lives in June.

The memorial service was held at the Main Post Chapel on Wednesday, July 11, at 11a.m.

CH (LTC.) Barnett provided the invocation and opening comments and 1LT. Andre read the names and lit the candles before LTC Arnold and Maj. Sherwood gave their Commanders' Remarks.

Fallen Paratroopers Honored

Cpl. Nicholas H. Olivas, 20, of Fairfield, Oh., died on May 30, 2012. 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division.

1LT. Mathew G. Fazzari, 25, of Walla Walla, Wash died June 6, 2012. 82nd Combat Aviation Bridgde, 82nd Airborne Division.

CPT. Scott P. Pace, 33, of Brawley, Ca., died on June 6, 2012. 82nd Combat Aviation Bridgde, 82nd Airborne Division.

Pfc. Brandon D. Goodine, 20, from Luthersville, Ga. died June 7, 2012 in Maiwand, Afghanistan. 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division.

Pfc. Jarrod A. Lallier, 20, of Spokane, Wash.,died June 18, 2012 in Zharay. 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division.
