Cumberland County Sheriff’s Detectives have charged a Fayetteville man with sex crimes involving children.

28-year old Jeffery Woodrow Walker of 4038 McKinnon Road was arrested early this morning.  Investigators say Walker inappropriately touched and forced two young girls, ages 11 and 12, to engage in sexual acts. 

Walker is charged with two counts of statutory rape, one count of sexual offense and two counts of taking indecent liberties with a minor. He is being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under 225 thousand dollar, secured bond.  Walker will make a first court appearance on Tuesday, June 12, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. in the Detention Center Courtroom.
