PHOTOS: Heroes Homecoming Kicks Off
A touching tribute and thanks to the veterans of the Vietnam War
The drizzle and threat of rain did not put a damper on the spirits of the many who turned out for the Heroes Homecoming kickoff that moved inside the auditorium at the Airborne & Special Operations Museum Friday morning.
The upcoming 10 days of events to honor the men of women who have served in Vietnam is long overdue. Each day, several events are being rolled out with first class and have been in the planning for some time to ensure our veterans feel special.
The celebration culminated outside when a helicopter flew outside over the crowds at the ceremony.
