Recruiting Command Meets 2011 Goals

The Army recruited more than 64,000 active-duty soldiers in Fiscal 2011.

The U.S. Army Recruiting Command announced Oct. 21 that it had met its goals for Fiscal Year 2011, according to an Army News Service report.

Recruiters were tasked with enlisting 64,000 active-duty soldiers and 19,320 reserve-component soldiers, the report stated. After screening more than 400,000 applicants, USAREC recruited 64,019 active-duty soldiers and 19,998 reservists.

The goals for Fiscal 2012 are 58,000 active-duty soldiers and 21,320 reservists, according to the report.
