Suspect Sought in Attempted Break In
Media release by the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office
Cumberland County Sheriff’s Detectives are searching for a suspect who has been captured on surveillance video attempting to break into a home.
Investigators say on August 30, 2012 at around 2:30 p.m. the suspect tried to enter a residence at 1844 Seabrook School Road. The would-be-thief didn’t know that the homeowner had installed surveillance cameras on the property. Video shows a white male, operating a red Ford Explorer, driving onto the driveway and him snooping around the residence.
The suspect made several attempts to get inside the residence, but failed. In the meantime, he unknowingly set off a burglar alarm. The suspect did manage to take with him a power washer and a Weedeater.
If you can identify this suspect and/or his accomplice, you are urged to contact the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office at (910) 323-1500.
