Third Annual March Forward Conference This Week

The 3rd Annual Forward March Conference is designed to empower the “helping professionals” that empower military children and families. Topics will focus on issues related to post-deployment issues, child and family issues, and mental health treatments designed to address these issues including the systems in place to help families deal with issues.

Speakers represent a blend of national, state, and local expertise in the topics covered.

Past Plenary Speakers Include:

  • Patty Shinseki, Military Child Education Coalition
  • U.S. Army Surgeon General Eric Schoomaker
  • Brigadier General Rhonda Cornum, Director of Comprehensive Soldier Fitness
  • Joyce Raezer, Executive Director, National Military Family Association

Target Audience:

Last year’s conference brought together over 240 "helping professionals" of those working or volunteering with military

communities including Behavioral Health Clinicians, School Guidance Counselors, Military Family Life Consultants, Clergy,

Veterans Groups, Military Personnel, Substance Abuse Professionals, Psychologists, Social Workers, Human Service

Professionals, School Personnel, Educators, Case Managers and Counselors.

This is an extremely worthwhile conference to attend -I have had the opportunity to attend in the past. I looked at the conference content in the agenda for this year--it is clear that it will be all encompassing and the speakers will present relevant, inspiring, and most up to date information for those who attend.
