Being a fur-tographer to help homeless animals!

Through my volunteer work with Mercy Fund Animal Rescue in Marion, NC, I learned how big of an issue animal homelessness really is. We have small adoption event weekly at our local Tractor Supply Co, where we usually have 10-15 of our 170+ animals, I was concerned because several of our own animals go weeks or months at a time without making an appearance at an event, which lowers their likelihood of being adopted. After noticing this issue, I started researching different ways I could get the animal's photos and information out there. Along with making a video presentation and publishing it to YouTube (link below), I participated in Pics for Pets, a campaign produced by dosomething.org, it was a great opportunity to be able to share our pictures, and all our volunteers where very exited about it! Pics for Pets had a great impact on these animals, along with getting a few hundred shares, we had two adoptions this past week, one of which who claimed she found the picture of her new furbaby online! I cannot thank dosomething.org enough for the amazing opportunity!
