What is PTSD?

As many troops come home and our country's focus shifts from war time to recovery time; as a nation we need to educate ourselves on what PTSD is. PTSD can come in many different forms and symptoms. The mass media would have us all believe that someone who has PTSD is violent, dangerous, abusing alcohol or drugs, untrustworthy, a lost cause, and the list just goes on and on. What we must understand is that with any condition there are varying degrees of symptoms. In many cases - with education, love, support, and dedication Veteran families can cope with the daily struggles of PTSD. If you are interested in more information or places to educate yourself on PTSD, please leave me a comment and I will get back to you asap.

Please take the time to read this article printed on an amazing volunteer run website called Family of a Vet
