FORT BRAGG, N.C. - The 82nd Airborne Division will be in full-force for this year’s All American Week Division Run, with more than 19,000 Paratroopers participating in the May 20 event at 6:30 a.m. Maj. Gen. John W. Nicholson, Jr., the 82nd Airborne Division commanding general, and Command Sgt. Maj. LaMarquis Knowles, the Division Command Sergeant Major will lead the run. The Division will run four miles and sing cadence while ceremonial cannons are fired along Longstreet Rd. Family members, veterans and the general public are invited to come out and watch the run.

FORT BRAGG, N.C. - U.S. Small Business Administrator Karen Mills will announce a new nationwide lending initiative for veterans at Fort Bragg, May 21 at 1 p.m. at Memorial Hall in the Soldier Support Center. Mills will be joined by representatives of the SBA lending community from across the country, Department of Defense officials and transitioning service members who have chosen to participle in SBA’s Operation Boots to Business (B2B) program. A living history detachment will allow visitors to experience 82nd Abn. Div. history up close from Tuesday, May 21 to Friday, May 24. FORT BRAGG, N.C. - 1st Lt. Paul Demeo, an 82nd Airborne Division Paratrooper, passed away Tuesday morning at Womack Army Medical Center on Fort Bragg, N.C. Further details surrounding his death are not available from the Public Affairs Office. 1st Lt. Demeo, 23, of Derry, N.H., was a Platoon Leader assigned to Company B, 2nd Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team. 1st Lt. Demeo was commissioned into the Army on May 21, 2011 after graduating from United States Army Military Academy at West Point.
