Seeking Host Families for International High School Students

Youth for Understanding, one of the world's oldest and most respected non-profit exchange programs for high school students, is seeking for host families who are willing to welcome YFU students from many cultures into their hearts and homes.

We are fortunate receive some Kennedy-Lugar scholars this August.  This program was established as a response to the events of September 11th, 2001.  It helps build bridges of understanding between the United States and countries with significant Muslim populations in Africa, Asia, Middle East, and Southeastern Europe. Funded by the United States Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA), the YES program provides high school students from countries with significant Muslim populations the opportunity to live in the United States with host families and attend high school for an academic year.  It is a very selective program, with only 4% of the applicants accepted.

I would be pleased to speak with anyone who wants further information about YFU, the hosting experience, or profiles of the students arriving for the 2014-2015 academic year.   Email me at Mkorczynski@yfu.org
