Luke Edgemon Battles it Out on 'The Voice'

Spoiler Alert - proceed with caution.

In last night's battle round contestant Monique Abbadie went toe to toe with Luke Edgemon singing 'You and I' by Lady Gaga.

The stylish, cool under pressure, Luke wowed his coaches, Usher and Adam. Blake told Luke he thought he came from heaven.

"You've got a career ahead of you," said Usher. "I've not heard a voice like that."

Monique sounded sultry and had she been wearing a black dress, she might not catch your eye, like in her bright yellow frock looking like a pin-up girl. She knows how to work the stage, for sure.

Shakira really complimented Monique's style and stage presence and ended up choosing her. Not to fret, it was an easy choice for the judges and both Usher and Blake Shelton pounded their buttons in hopes of stealing Luke. Blake won out and we can expect to see something new in Luke's portfolio after working with the country singer.
