5 Things Not to Miss

Plenty going on this week

1. If you have not been to see the 82nd jump from the blue skies it is a site to behold. This week's jump schedule from Aug. 16-18 posted on Fort Bragg's Facebook page. Don't forget your camera, water and sunscreen.

2. Laugh Out Loud comedy tour, Aug. 19 at Sports U.S.A. on Fort Bragg featuring Danny Cho, A Pair of Nuts, and BET's Hell Date- Cerrome for ages 18 and older from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.

3. Get out and soar through the treetops with Fort Bragg's MWR at Zip Quest, Aug. 21 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. for ages 10 and older. Weight requirement between 70-250 pounds. $60 per participant.

4. Town hall meeting
Army Community Service will host the next quarterly installation town hall meeting Wednesday, Aug. 17, at 9 a.m., at the Yntema (Bingo) Club on Gruber Road. The meeting is open to the public and will be run by Col. Stephen Cicinski, the garrison commander.

Issues submitted over the past quarter will be addressed by agency representatives.  The floor will also be opened for any new issues or questions. Issues can be submitted at any time by logging on to www.fortbraggmwr.com/acs/communityupdate.php.

5. Operation Rising Star
Got some pipes and don't want to wait in line for idol tryouts? Operation Rising Star will be held Aug. 18 and 25, at Sports U.S.A. The singing competition will be judged as weekly eliminations progress. The show is open to active duty, National Guard, Reserves and their families ages 18 and older. Registration required by calling 907-0739.
