City of Fayetteville Crime Analyst position

Duties include: To collect, process, analyze and distribute various data, statistics and information related to crime; evaluate data pertaining to crime in the city and produce reports for submittal to supervisory personnel; maintain and update intelligence data files; provide complex analytical support to the Police Department.

Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

Experience: Two years of experience in statistical research and analyzing data in a Police Department, other law enforcement agency or military intelligence experience.

Training: Equivalent to an Associates' degree from an accredited community college with major course work in criminal justice, computer science or related field.

Licensing & Certification Required: Possession of or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver's license. Ability to acquire DCI/NCIC Level I & II Certification within one year of employment.
