This Week Scotties Facial Tissues Sponsors No Fee Cat Adoptions At The SPCA of Wake County

Scotties Facial Tissues (www.scottiesfacial.com) will sponsor cat and kitten adoptions at The SPCA of Wake County all week long from July 21 through July 27. On Saturday the 26th, a Mega Adoption Event will take place at PetSmart in Garner (2550 Timber Dr.) in which cats and kittens will be available at no cost. In partnership with The SPCA of Wake County, the adoption fees for select cats and kittens at their shelters in Raleigh will be waived up to $5,000 in an effort to place them in loving homes.

“At Scotties our focus is softness – so this partnership made perfect sense,” said John Robertson, Director of Marketing for Scotties Facial Tissues. “We hope that our donation will act as an incentive for caring people to come forward and open up their homes.”

This private/public partnership with animal rescue organizations is a key public service focus for Scotties on the east coast in 2014. All adoptable cats will have been spayed and neutered and are up to date on all shots and vaccinations. In addition to their efforts in Raleigh; they are also making $5,000 donations to animal protection organizations in Boston, MA and Tampa, FL.

"We are so grateful for this life-saving opportunity to partner with Scotties. This partnership will have a big impact on the number of lives we're able to save this summer," said Darci VanderSlik, Spokesperson for the SPCA of Wake County.

Scotties hopes to rally support for this cause and to put approximately 100 – 150 cats nationally into their forever homes.  Caring owners looking to fill their home with softness during the week of July 21-27, can visit www.spcawake.org for shelter locations, hours, and descriptions of adoptable cats.
