3 Arrested for Narcotics and Prostitution at Fayetteville Hotel

On Thursday, July 11, 2013 at approximately 3:30 pm, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a report at Candlewood Suites located at 4108 Legend Avenue, next to IT'Z.

The investigation uncovered narcotics were being sold from a room within the establishment as well as the online procurement of prostitution. A search warrant was secured for the rooms in question and resulted in the following arrests: 

Samantha Marie Rivard, 29, of 3668 Applegate Road in Hope Mills, NC was charged with:
• Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Cocaine
• Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Heroin
• Conspiracy to Commit PWISD Cocaine
• Conspiracy to Commit PWISD Heroin
• Procuring for Prostitution / Assignation
• Maintain a Place for Prostitution / Assignation
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Robin Triove Applewhite, 36, of 4108 Legend Avenue was charged with:
• Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Cocaine
• Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Heroin
• Conspiracy to Commit PWISD Cocaine
• Conspiracy to Commit PWISD Heroin
• Procuring for Prostitution / Assignation
• Maintain a Place for Prostitution / Assignation
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Amanda Sue Carswell, 37, of 4108 Legend Avenue was charged with:
• Possession of Cocaine
• Maintaining a Dwelling for Narcotic Use
• Maintain a Place for Prostitution / Assignation
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Many local hotels are used as link up points for online prostitution sites. While some females operate independently, others are victims of human trafficking. It is unknown if these two females were operating independently or under the control of the male, Robin Applewhite.
