Court Date Could Be Determined Friday for Antoinette Davis, Shaniya Davis' Mother

On May 29 Fayetteville's high profile trial in the death of 5-year-old Shaniya Davis ended in the death penalty for Mario McNeill.

This week, on July 12, Cumberland County District Attorney Billy West speculates that the girls mother's, Antoinette Davis, could have a date set for her trial. Local Fayetteville attorney D.W. Bray will represent Davis and the same legal team of West, Robby Hicks and Rita Cox will prosecute the case.

Davis is accused of selling her daughter off as a drug debt on a weekend when the child was visiting her at her Sleepy Hollow Mobile Home Park residence.

Charges include first-degree murder, first-degree rape, first-degree sex offense, child abuse, sexual servitude with a child, an act of felony child sexual abuse, human trafficking and indecent liberties with a child are what Davis is facing.
