Two Teens Busted During Home Burglary

Cumberland County Sheriff’s Detectives have arrested two local teens after they broke into a home Thursday morning and stole electronics.

Giancarlo Scibilia, 17, of 2622 Dartmouth Drive, Fayetteville and Keron Jordan Guthary, 17, of 636 Monagon Street, Fayetteville were taken into custody immediately following their crime.

A witness saw activity in a neighbor’s home on Zinnia Court, Fayetteville at around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2013. Deputies were called while the crime was in progress and officers began to canvas the area in search of a 2013 Toyota Corolla.

Scibilia and Guthary were stop by detectives on Old Wilmington Road and items taken from the home were found inside the vehicle. A computer and an Xbox 360 were recovered.

Scibilia is charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering and possession of stolen goods. He was released from the Cumberland County Detention Center on a ten thousand dollar, secured bond which was modified to the custody of his parents.

Guthary is charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny, breaking and entering, possession of stolen goods and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. He was released from the Cumberland County Detention Center under a 10 thousand 500 dollar bond, secured bond modified to the custody of his parents.

A first court appearance for both teens is scheduled for this afternoon in the Detention Center Courtroom.
