On December 12, 2012, William Darden was reported missing by his family, after not having heard from him in over a week. Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department continue to investigate the disappearance of Darden and again are seeking the public's assistance in locating William Darden.

Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in locating William Darden, age 53. Family members report that Darden has not been seen since December 2, 2012. Darden goes by the nickname “Shorty” and is known to hang out in the downtown area near the bus station and the B street area.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Darden is asked to contact detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department at (910) 433-1856 or CrimeStoppers at (910) 483-TIPS (8477).
William Darden is described as:
• 54 year old black male
• 5’5” tall
• 160 to 165 lbs
• Left handed
• Scar on forehead and his right pinky finger is deformed
