Advisory: Suspect Sought in Chief's 25 Plus Crimes

Local detectives seeking public's assistance in identifying victim of armed robbery during the murder at Chief's 25 Plus.

On August 30, 2013 at approximately 2:20 am, Derrick Morrisey exited Chief’s 25 Plus nightclub and began walking a female patron to her vehicle. While walking to an adjacent parking lot, Morrisey came upon an armed robbery in progress. Morrisey was unable to escape to safety and was fatally shot by the fired weapon of an unknown suspect.

Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit are requesting that the victim of the armed robbery come forward and speak with them. The victim may be frightened as to the circumstances of the robbery, however it is imperative that detectives speak with the unidentified person.
