Woman Charged with Burning Landlord’s Property

Fayetteville woman charged with felony larceny, possession of stolen goods and burning personal property.

Cumberland County Sheriff’s Fire Investigators have charged a Fayetteville woman with setting fire to furniture items being stored in the garage of a home she was renting.

20-year old Alyscha K. Fields formerly of 4583 Pennystone Drive surrendered to authorities late yesterday afternoon.  She is charged with felony larceny, possession of stolen goods and burning personal property.

During August 26, 2012 and September 16, 2012 Fields allegedly removed items from the residence and chopped them up with an axe.  She used lighter fluid to set the items on fire in the backyard of the home for a bonfire and party she was having.  Fields was not given permission by the landlord to do so. The landlord was using the garage to store the items which were valued at around 24 hundred dollars.

Meanwhile, Fields was released from the Cumberland County Detention Center under a five thousand dollar unsecured bond.  She is set to make a first court appearance today at 2:30 p.m. in the Detention Center courtroom.
