Cumberland County Man Extradited on Sex Crimes Involving Minor

Cumberland County Sheriff’s Detectives have extradited a Colorado man to North Carolina to face charges of sex crimes involving a three year old child.

Douglas James Robinson, 22, of 3545 Leyden Street, Denver, Colorado was placed in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $170,000 bond.

Robinson is charged with first degree statutory sex offense, sexual act by substitute parent, taking indecent liberties with a minor and crimes against nature.

An investigation determined that on or including January 1, 2011 through May 23, 2011 Robinson allegedly touched the child inappropriately while babysitting her.

Robinson is in jail awaiting trial.
