Law Enforcement Seeking Guns and Ammo Thief

Cumberland County Sheriff’s Detectives are searching for the suspect or suspects who stole thousands of dollars in weapons and ammunition from a home in the Grays Creek community.

Detectives began their investigation on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 after the victim noticed the items were missing.

The search is underway for a semi-automatic handgun, assault rifle and two 9mm semi-automatic rifles. In addition, thousands of rounds of ammunition were removed from the residence.

Meanwhile, detectives will be available in the community via the Sheriff’s Command Post. On Tuesday, September 24, 2013 the Command Post will be situated at the BP Convenience Store/Service Station at the intersection of Chickfoot and Moracco Roads from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. – and again at the Food Lion on Highway 87 South and Sandhill Road from 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
