Second Suspect Arrested at his Hope Mills Residence

Cumberland County Sheriff’s Detectives arrested the second suspect in Sunday night's burglary and shooting in the Gallberry Farms community. 

Hope Mills resident Alex Brandon Fernandez, 18, of 1935 Sunshine Court, was one of two teens who attempted to gain entry into a home on Gallberry Farm Road and shot the homeowner.  Fernandez is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and inflicting serious injury, first degree burglary and conspiracy.

An accomplice James Todd Fisher, Jr.,19, was arrested earlier this morning.  He is charged with first degree burglary and felony conspiracy.  He is being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $65,000 secured bond.  Fisher made a first court appearance Tuesday afternoon in the Detention Center Courtroom.
