Suspects Identified in Fayetteville Murder Case

Two suspects have been identified for their involvement in an Aug. 24 murder case in Fayetteville, NC. Homicide detectives with the Fayetteville Police have secured warrants for the arrest of Dwight Dewey Bristol, Jr. and Tony Carl McGill.
According to the Fayetteville Police Department Facebook page both these men have been charged with first degree murder. The Fayetteville Police report that on Aug. 23 a fight broke out on School Street between the victim, later identified as Marcus Atherton, 36, and several other individuals. Atherton apparently fled the scene on foot and then collapsed, he later died as a result of injuries sustained during the incident.
