The Faris Team Back to Speak at Fort Bragg on Tuesday

"The Chris and Lisa Show" will be at the Evergreen Chapel speaking candidly about how their marriage made a come back against all odds.

CSM Faris and his wife Lisa have experienced the ups and downs of a military marriage and they have been taking their story on the road.

Monday the couple, formerly assigned at Fort Bragg, are back in their old stomping grounds to speak at Evergreen Chapel from 1830-2030.

Faris, 50, an Army command sergeant major, has spent of his military career in the special operations community, frequently deployed.

He is now the senior enlisted adviser to Adm. William H. McRaven, commander of U.S. Special Operations Command at Tampa, Fla. 

Lisa Faris, a Pine Forest High School graduate, from Fayetteville has a heart for military families and has quite a story. She shared at past events how she was at the end of her rope, literally, in her marriage to Chris.

Given the high operational tempo the Army demands of its families, this couple has stood the rigors of war and are on a new mission to share their story with other Army families.

The Army's tagged the program: Preservation of the Force and Families, and having attended these discussions, they are on the right track.

Combined with the Army's Force Resiliency Program for reintegrating soldiers after a deployment, the Army is making families a priority while ensuring its soliders maintain a healthy well being.
