Fort Bragg Announces Bomb Threat in Linden Oaks Community

Students at the neighborhood schools have been evacuated.

Around 2 p.m. Wednesday, Fort Bragg announced that the Shughart Schools complex has been evacuated due to a bomb threat.

Students have been moved to secure locations in the Linden Oaks community.

“We are doing everything possible at this time to ensure the safety and accountability of our students,” said Mike Thornburg, Fort Bragg Schools chief of education operations.

“Parents are asked to cooperate with school and law enforcement officials," said Thornburg in a media release.

Families were notified by Fort Bragg Schools how to pick-up their child or children via the One Call system.

Fort Bragg law enforcement has responded to the scene and the public is advised to avoid the area.
