Hit-and-Run Kills Army Pedestrian

Fort Bragg investigates the crime.

Around 1:40a.m. Saturday morning a 20-year-old Army private was killed in a hit-and-run accident. According to the Fort Bragg Public Affairs Office, the pedestrian was killed near the corner of Bragg Boulevard and Gruber Road

A 21-year-old woman was stopped at a sobriety check point on Bragg Boulevard. Officers noticed damage to the vehicle which lead them to determine the driver was involved in the hit-and-run, said Ben Abel in an Observer report, a Fort Bragg public affairs officer.

The incident is being investigated by the Army Criminal investigation Command.
