Sgt. Robert Bales Pre-Trial This Week

Fort Lewis soldier from the Afghan massacre heads to court.

The American soldier accused of murdering 16 Afghans last March, mostly women and children, Staff Sgt. Robert Bales will appear at a preliminary hearing this week.

One of the issues the court will look at is whether or not Bales acted alone.

“There are witness statements that there was more than one shooter,” said Bales’s lead civilian lawyer, John Henry Browne in a Huffington Post report.

One fact is that Bales suffered from PTSD. His spouse, Karilyn Bales, does not believe that her spouse could commit these crimes and has spoken to national news networks since the incident.
