Fayetteville Running Club Takes First Place Again in 2013

Race results and photos from Run for the Red, Saturday's 5k and 10k event.

Saturday's American Red Cross 'Run for the Red' wound through downtown Fayetteville on Aug. 3. The annual event has grown each year and benefits the Highland Chapter's American Red Cross.  View the results here.

The Fayetteville Running Club held the first place title again this year for having the most participants in that category. 

Runners or aspiring runners are encouraged to join their club. Follow them on Facebook  and go for a trial run. They meet on Wednesday nights at 6p.m. in the parking lot at Morganton Rd. and McPherson Church Rd. and have been in existence since 2008. 

Some of our regular events include:

  • Couch 2 5k Training program
  • Weekly marathon and half-marathon training
  • Local race support
  • Monthly member social
  • MWR on post 5k
  • Speed Drills
  • Cape Fear River Trail Runs
  • Neighborhood runs & potlucks
  • Donut Dash Fun Run

Fayetteville Running Club is a proud member of the Road Runners Club of America. Through RRCA, we have 501(c)3 non profit status. As an FRC member you will also have an RRCA membership. To complete your registration, follow the link below. You will be directed to a secure site to sign a liability waiver and pay annual dues.
