Love was in the air at Fort Bragg

Army Community Service's Advocacy Program takes the burden off planning a special Valentine's Day date.

Fort Bragg’s Army Community Service Family Advocacy Program hosted the very first Valentine’s Day Field Training Exercise (FTX) from 11am-1pm at the Fort Bragg Club. Taking place in the Lafayette Room, the Valentine’s Day FTX provided a fun way for soldiers and family members, couples and singles to connect and socialize during lunch. While melodic love songs played in the background, attendees were able to participate in competitions, have pictures taken, snack on candy, eat lunch, and mingle. The Family Advocacy Program had a number of prizes to give away for competition winners and gift bags for each guest.  Esther Berrios, The Family Advocacy Program’s Prevention Education Specialist, saw the need to implement an event like this to …
