Meet the 2011 Army Spouse of the Year
Fort Bragg is most fortunate to have Crystal Cavalier representing them and she truly has a heart for military families.
While it's a bit cliché, many military spouses can relate to the moniker, 'toughest job in the Army: military wife.' One Fort Bragg spouse received national recognition in May when she was named 2011 Army Spouse of the Year. Crystal Cavalier has lived in Fayetteville, N.C. for five years. Besides being a wife and mom, her new title comes with speaking engagements and conferences where she can weigh in and make a difference for military families. The honor has allowed Cavalier to meet Michelle Obama twice. She visited the White House for a Mother's Day tea, held in the Gold Room, where she got to speak with the first lady after a tour.
