Newt Still Tracking to Visit North Carolina This Week

Gingrich trying to build momentum for May 8 primary in North Carolina.

Acknowledging that Mitt Romney had a good day after sweeping five more Republican presidential primaries on Tuesday, Newt Gingrich vowed to keep campaigning in North Carolina through the week. Fifty-five delegates are yet to be determined in North Carolina's Republican presidential primary on May 8. Gingrich plans to visit more than 10 cities in North Carolina in the next five days, including Fayetteville. On Friday, he is set to speak to the Cumberland County Republican Party downtown at the AIT Building before making an appearance at the 30th Anniversary Dogwood Festival. Gretchen Wilson Will Be Here For Our Party

The Fayetteville Dogwood Festival in April brings in some top entertainment to the stages at Festival Park.

This year for the 30th Anniversary of the Dogwood Festival, a Grammy Award- winning artist was brought in. Overall, Wilson has charted 13 singles on the Billboard country charts, of which five have reached Top Ten: the Number One "Redneck Woman", as well as "Here for the Party" (#3, 2004), "When I Think About Cheatin'" (#4, 2004), "Homewrecker" (#2, 2005), and "All Jacked Up" (#8, 2005). The album Here for the Party was certified 5× Multi-Platinum by the RIAA for sales of five million copies, while All Jacked Up was certified platinum. She has sold over 6 million records worldwide.
