True's body was discovered Saturday evening in a remote part of southern New Mexico's Gila Wilderness.
Sunday, the Huffington Post reported the death of Micah True, the long distance runner whose feats were chonicled in the Chris McDougall's best-seller, "Born to Run". True was one of the main characters, more commonly known as "Cabello Blanco" in the book and was also featured in articles in running magazines and notorious among avid runners. According to the news reports, the cause of death was not known as of Sunday. With no signs of distress or trauma, True was found near a cold stream, with his legs still in the water and his water bottle next to him, about a mile southeast of the Gila Cliff Dwellings.
