Renee Elder, Neighbor

In my "personal" life, I am a mom to a teen-ager and two 20-something young adults.  (Although it doesn't seem that long ago that I was car-pooling and packing lunches, too.)

When I have time off, I love to garden, read mystery novels, walk on the beach, hike in the mountains or ride my bike through the area&#39;s parks and greenway trails.<br>I also love to swim and kayak at the Lumber River in Scotland County, where I my husband&#39;s family goes back many generations.

Although reporting and writing is my job -- I also consider it a lifelong learning experience!
