Kelli Bordeaux Rode Home with Aggravated Sex Offender

Detectives and police are still following up on leads and evidence to uncover the whereabouts of the Fort Bragg soldier who went missing early Saturday morning.

After two interviews by police, Nicholas Holbert is being scrutinized by the public for his criminal past, charges dating back from age 16 for indecent liberties with a minor and an aggravated sex offender status.

The Froggy Bottoms bar owner said a tab for $28 from Friday night was for Holbert and Bordeaux, although he said Holbert does not drink. The tab was $28 for four shots and four beers according to an NBC 17 news report.

In an ABC News report, Holbert recounted the last time he saw Kelli Bordeaux after giving her a ride home the Froggy Bottoms Bar where he helped as a bar hand.

“As soon as you drive into the entrance to Meadowbrook, she said stop right here,” Holbert said. “So I stopped and she said, ‘I’ll walk home.’ I said, ‘Are you sure?’ She said, ‘Yeah.’ I said I figured she didn’t want me to know where she lived, or somebody was there and she didn’t want to be seen together.”

According to the news report, Holbert is living in a tent behind the Froggy Bottoms Bar, a parole violation that could end in his arrest. Friday police confiscated his tent.

His last verified address check was April 4, 2012 at 52 Ranger Lane in Spring Lake, NC;  a trailer park located in Harnett County, approximately 9 miles from the bar as reported in Blink On Crime.

It is rumored that police have recovered evidence that suggests Bordeaux may have been injured, and that it could be tied to Holbert, but Police Chief Tom Bergamine would not confirm that in the press conference on Thursday.

After the pond search was called off, detectives are back at work combing the area between the bar and her M residence where he last trace of cell phone service occurred.

According to the Blink on Crime report, Kelli and her husband of two years, Mike Bordeaux have been recently separated.
