Family Dollar Robbed at Gunpoint, Suspect on the Lam

On Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at approximately 9:20 pm, the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a robbery a the Family Dollar located at 4112 Raeford Road.

The investigation revealed that an unknown black male entered the business and began perusing the store, before bringing merchandise to the front counter. While the clerk began to total the items, the suspect presented a handgun and demanded that the clerk relinquish money from the business. The suspect obtained an undetermined amount of money from the business and was last observed fleeing on foot.

View the surveillance images to see if you recognize the suspect - possibly wearing a wig underneath a baseball style cap. He is described as a:

• Black Male
• 6’00 in height
• Wearing black long sleeve shirt , black pants , navy / white baseball cap and black Shoes
