Pro-Anglers Visit Warriors and Military Kids at Fort Bragg Tomorrow

Warriors on the Water Military Appreciation Bass Fishing Tournament kicks off Wednesday.

Warriors on the Water is hosting its 7th Annual Military Appreciation Bass Fishing Tournament beginning Wednesday, April 25 with an ice breaker at Sports USA and ending Friday, April 27 at New Hope Boat Ramp, Jordan Lake, N.C.

Servicemembers from Fort Bragg and Pope Field will be participating in the event. Warriors on the Water is a non-profit organization that exists for the sole purpose of having a way to say "thank you" to our men and women in
the Armed Services for all they do to keep us free. The organization was
founded in 2005 and put on its first fishing tournament in May 2006.

Warriors on the Water is also excited to announce that several pro-anglers to include Dustin Wilks, will be a special guest of honor at the fishing tournament.

Wilks began his professional fishing career while earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Fisheries from North Carolina State University in 1999. The same year he won the Bassmaster Eastern Invitational Trail 'Angler of the Year' title. Wilks has since qualified for the prestigious Bassmaster Classic five times.

In addition to the Wednesday, April 25 ice breaker at Sports USA at 6 p.m., the pro-anglers will visit students Wednesday morning at both Murray and Butner Elementary schools at Fort Bragg.
