VIDEO: 16th M.P. Brigade Runs 70 Miles to Commemorate 70th Anniversary

Military Police honor their heritage both past and present and build camaraderie going the distance

Military Police units at posts around the world took part commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Military Police Regiment.

Service members from 16th Military Police Brigade participated in the all-night event running, a total of 70 miles by the morning of September 15. The 21st Military Police Company, 503rd Military Police Battalion (Airborne) started the run at the Towle Track and Field on Bastogne Street. The soldiers took turns running in assigned groups handing off the colors to one another after they completed their laps. All through the night, the colors never stopped moving around the track.

Some ran to cadences, others ran with their dogs, and a few eager kids showed up to take a lap around the track to support their dad, LTC Terry Nihart, Commander of the 503d Military Police Battalion.
