Falcon Children's Home kids celebrate Christmas

The community support poured out for a night of fun and generosity at the Round-A-Bout skating rink.

Hundreds of children had a joy filled night at the Round-A-Bout skate rink last night. Local groups and churches sponsor a child from the Falcon Children's Home and purchased gifts from their wish list.

"This bike is better than the one I asked for," shrieked 13-year-old Stephen G. "This is all just an awesome night, thank you, thank you, thank you."

Culberth E., an 8th grader was hoping for some music cd's, and a pair of new tennis shoes. As East opened his stack of about 10 beautifully wrapped packages, he was excited to see his new Nike high tops along with clothes, hats, music and sporting goods wear. He was very gracious and kept thanking the sponsor family for all of his gifts.

Lamondria T., a 7th grader was ecstatic opening a new pair of black suede boots, skinny jeans, blouses, bubble bath and lotions and other items from her sponsor family.

The Christmas party feautured special performances from a local dance team, Dance EFX along with lots of food and dessert for the kids and familes followed by skating and of course a visit from Santa Claus.
